“Two Dogs in a Pub” is a comic about two dogs in a pub.
This title was adapted from “Pubbies” and produced as a comic for syndication to daily newspapers – sent to the four major syndicate companies. Due to the nature of this endeavor, the comics are, for lack of a better term, in a limited run. In this particular packet, I produced five weeks of dailies and two full-color Sunday comics.
If the mood strikes me, I may create more comics under this title. If I do, I’ll note it in the archives below.
Characters
Hippo is short, round, and a step behind. He wants the simple things in life: love, a good job, and more food.
He’s good at finding food, not so good at finding the other two things. He works as a temp but nothing seems to stick. As for love, he puts the “hopeless” in “hopeless romantic.”
Choop is slightly more sensible than Hippo, which isn’t saying much.
He does, however, have a job. For many years now, he has worked as a cashier in a grocery store. It’s not challenging and it pays the bills. Good enough.
